We appreciate that the needs of people living with mental illness can be fluctuating and sometimes challenging.

We have demonstrated that we can usually respond accordingly rather than move people to new environments which can be unsettling for the person and their families. We have a range of experienced staff, many which have worked for the company for many years. We also employ a specialist social worker in mental health who supports us in specialist care planning, assessments and legal frameworks such as the Mental Health Act (1983) and Mental Capacity Act (2005).

We see families are a crucial source of information for staff and they provide support for many of our residents.

We understand the anxieties around loved ones living in residential care so have therefore developed a number of ways of communicating with families on a regular basis, including the use of technology. We hope this will demonstrate the quality of the care which we provide and reassure families that dignity, safety and stimulation are all at the centre of providing the best quality of life possible.

Respite care and short breaks are available at all homes depending upon bed availability.

We have five care homes, three of which are homes for the mentally ill and two for elderly with dementia.

At Proudfoot Care Group we are focused on personal centered care to ensure all of our service users are afforded every opportunity to continually enhance their skill sets ensuring their quality of life is paramount and continually improving.

We have over twenty years of experience in residential care which were mental health, but now feel with our experience we can also take our business/caring model to residential care for the elderly and Holyrood house is the first home within this category.

Proudfoot Care has an excellent relationship with the local council of Hull and East Riding of Yorkshire

Ensuring all information is passed and obtained from all involved especially social services to continually improve our services. All three homes have an excellent CQC report which is available to view for each home.
